Sean was born and raised in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. His early acting rôles were in the theatre, including Romeo in the Royal Shakespeare Company's Romeo and Juliet in 1986/87. He has since gone on to play a wide variety of parts, from international feature films (Patriot Games, Ronin, Goldeneye), to acclaimed television drama (Clarissa, Sharpe, Lady Chatterley). His current projects include Troy, Pride, The Big Empty, and Henry VIII.
